After Star Trek flying on the top of the box office, this weekend Angels & Demons risen up, the sequel of the Da Vinci Code gaining $ 46.2 million on about 7,000 screen at 3,527 sites, surpassed the Star Trek leading weekend.
The Angels and Demons is still behind the Da Vinci Code, three years ago opening of Da Vinci Code gaining $77.1 in 3735 screens.This unique and controversial movie that make adult-oriented thriller have high weekend for such movie.
Even though this is sequel of Da Vinci Code the story line of Angels & Demons has less complicated then Da Vinci Code . But still it’s magnet for audience that’s like adult-thriller mixed with controversial story. According to Sony Pictures distributor 52 percent the audience is female and the rest of 50 percent is 30 years old and older. The Da Vinci Code movie and also Angels and Demons comparable with Hannibal to Red Dragon, became second biggest for adult-thriller genre since. And to Tom Hanks this is the greatest movie for adult-thriller genre that he played.
