There is no doubt when this movie make, it will boom as this movie release, Avatar reach $77 million on approximately 7,000 screens at 3,452 sites over the weekend and being the highest-grossing opening ever. In second position of highest-grossing December opening weekend after I Am Legend with $77.2 million. Business weekend overall surged 55 percent over the same weekend last year, but was down considerably from I Am Legend and Alvin and the Chipmunks debuted in 2007 period.
The key selling point of Avatar is the advanced of 3D. Set with a new 3D opening benchmark showing on 3D, showing on 3,129 screens at 2,038 sites, the format obtaining for an estimated $55 million of the gross.
