Google Caffeine

Back in August 2009, when Google was issuing out invites to web developers and power searches to test the new web search architecture as part of a web developer preview. As known as Caffeine update. I’ll never though that Google moves so fast. Google has been announced that Caffeine is live and up and running. Google Caffeine is the next generation architecture for Google’s web search.

As Google Software Engineer Carrie Grimes said:

“We’re announcing the completion of a new web indexing system called Caffeine. Whether it’s a news story, a blog or a forum post, you can now find links to relevant content much sooner after it is published than was possible ever before.”

Google Caffeine is when you search for something, you do not search the live web, Google’s index of the web that you search.
